BSc Applied Computing
The BSc in the field of Applied Computing degree is a pioneer programme in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This programme is designed to give students both a broad and deep foundation in all aspects of ICT. It is a tri Faculty initiative that links the expertise of the Schools of Computer Science, Electrical and Information Engineering along with the School of Economic and Business Sciences. Graduates will be suitable for positions in industry and commerce such as software development, software design, database programming, network analysis and design and systems analysis. Upon completion of the undergraduate degree a student may choose to convert their qualification into a BScEng in Information Engineering or complete an honours program in either Computer Science or Information Systems.

Software Engineer & Systems Consultant
Involved as part of a team of software developers, medical professionals and system administrators called the Wits BioInformatics Committee. The goal of this venture is to bring technology to medical facilities around the country. The close interaction between myself and the developers with staff involved in medical care has given rise to a user friendly, functional patient discharge system being actively used in the Charlotte Maxexe Johannesburg Academic Hospital.

Created a company for bespoke software engineering consulting of which I was a director. Worked with clients in Fintech, Medtech, e-Commerce and various other industries developing technology and tooling to assist with growth, starting up or supplementing technical teams.
Professional skills
Software and Technology have been a life-long passion of mine and I am extremely thankful to have had the opportunity to have been educated in multiple facets of my field. I have learnt about everything from machine level code to algorithms and data structures. My goal is to become a software professional that will advance the world and improve lives.
